The public debates of DESPRO on "Why should hromadas amalgamate?" will be held on 30 March in the town Zhovkva of the Lviv Oblast.
The purpose of the debates is to bring comprehensive information on the essence of the reform of local self-government and territorial organisation of power, decentralisation of powers, explain the benefits of the reform on the example of existing amalgamated hromadas, and answer the questions of interest to the public and local authorities.
The event will be organised by the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine and Zhovkva Town Council.
Participants of the debates will include the head and deputies of local councils, representatives of educational and medical teams of the Zhovkva, Yavoriv and other rayons, of the public, representatives of the Lviv Oblast State Administration and Lviv Oblast Council, Yavoriv and Zhovkva Rayon Administrations and Rayon Councils, as well as heads of AHs from other regions of Ukraine. The discussion will be attended also by the expert Anatoliy Tkachuk.
