The Krasnokutsk Rayon should actively participate in the reform of local self-government and territorial organisation of power. This is for the benefit of the rayon residents, for the benefit of the Kharkiv Oblast and the country as a whole. After all, the reform is human-centric and is intended to create decent living conditions, conditions for self-realisation of every person, regardless of the place where he/she lives – be it a village or a city, said Oleksiy Belotskyi, head of the Krasnokutsk Rayon State Administration, opening the debates “Why should hromadas amalgamate?”.
“I am convinced that you realise it is impossible to leave the situation in our villages as it is today. You should also be aware that without your participation, changes will not occur in themselves. We should keep together and use the opportunities created by the state for the development of territories,” urged the head of the Krasnokutsk Rayon State Administration.
The event was organised by the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) with the participation of the Krasnokutsk Rayon State Administration, Kharkiv Oblast State Administration and Oblast Council, as well as Kharkiv Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
