Debates on “Why should hromadas amalgamate?” will be held in the Krasnokutsk Rayon of the Kharkiv Oblast on 16 February.
The purpose of the debates is to provide comprehensive information on the essence of the reform of local self-government and territorial organisation of power, decentralisation of powers, explain the benefits of the reform on the example of existing AHs, and provide answers to questions of interest to the public and local authorities.
The event is organised by the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) with the participation of the Krasnokutsk Rayon State Administration, Kharkiv Oblast Council and Kharkiv Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
The participants of the debates include the heads and deputies of local councils, educators and medical specialists of the Krasnokutsk Rayon, representatives of the public, Kharkiv Oblast State Administration and Kharkiv Oblast Council, Krasnokutsk Rayon State Administration and Rayon Council, as well as the heads of amalgamated hromadas from other regions of Ukraine. The expert Yuriy Hanushchak, and Diana Barynova, director of the Kharkiv Local Government Development Centre will also participate in the discussion.
Venue of the event: 12 Teatralnyi lane, Krasnokutsk (Krasnokutsk Rayon Culture Club).
