The youth can be the driving force of any transformation, but unless there is activity and desire. It also applies to the decentralisation reform, amalgamation and further hromada development. However, mainly young people leave villages, and few return. In order to remedy the situation and involve young people in the decentralisation reform process, the Zaporizhzhya Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, conducted 8 lectures for over 500 students of higher educational institutions during the two months of 2017. The Centre’s experts explained the essence of the reform, its projected results, and talked about new opportunities for young people.
