The purpose of the press tour organised for the journalists from the Mykolayiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts by the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine, was to study the experience of the Slobozhanska hromada as the most successful one in Ukraine.
“According to the the analysis of revenues and expenditures of 366 amalgamated hromadas of Ukraine conducted by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the top three places of the ranking of the top 20 most successful AHs in Ukraine were occupied by the Dnipropetrovsk hromadas – Slobozhanska, Bohdanivska and Verbkivska ones. Today, the own revenues per capita in the Slobozhanska hromada amount to UAH 14.1 thousand, in Bohdanivska they make up UAH 8.7 thousand, and in Verbkivska – UAH 8.9 thousand. It proves the capability and success of these hromadas, about their tremendous work, opening wide opportunities for the development of their territories,” told the participants of the press tour Olena Tertyshna, director of the Dnipropetrovsk LGDC.
