On 19 December 2017, the National Institute for Strategic Studies will hold a round table discussion on the establishment of a new state regional policy in Ukraine.
The event is being carried out by the National Institute for Strategic Studies together with the Group of Advisers on Support of the State Regional Policy Implementation in Ukraine of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme.
The purpose of the round table meeting is to discuss the situation with application of the regional development legislation in 2014-2017, consider the problems of implementing the priorities of the State Strategy for Regional Development for the period until 2020, and share proposals for improving the regulatory framework, in particular, by amending the Law of Ukraine “On Stimulating the Development of Regions”, budget and tax legislation.
Representatives of the state authorities, scientific and expert institutions, public organisations, working on the issues of regional policy and decentralisation reform are invited to participate in the discussion.
The round table meeting will start on 19 December 2017 at 10:00 (registration from 9:30 till 10:00) at the address: 7-a Pyrohova St., 3rd floor (meeting room), Kyiv.
Entry of participants will be carried out by identity documents in accordance with the list compiled on the basis of the information, submitted to the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
