Representatives of future AHs got advice at Dnipropetrovsk LGDC

By the end of 2017, three more hromadas are to appear in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Central Electoral Commission appointed the elections on 24 December in the Saksahanske community of the Pyatykhatky Rayon, Devladove community of the Sofiyivka Rayon and Ukrayinske community of the Petropavlivka Rayon.

Representatives of the future amalgamated hromadas applied for advice to the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine.

“These communities do not have time to rest after the elections. They will have to promptly solve all organisational issues. Therefore, the LGDC assisted the specialists of the future AHs. Our task is to provide them with detailed explanation of all the intricacies of preparation and holding of the first constituent sessions, as well as processing draft session decisions. We drew the attention of community representatives to the issues that need to be addressed first. We will continue to provide maximum methodological assistance to AHs in the region. This is our common work, and I am convinced that our newcomers will take active part and quickly catch up with experienced communities,” said Olena Tertyshna, director of the Dnipropetrovsk LGDC.

Decentralisation expert Olha Kireyeva focused on issues that concern organisation of permanent deputy commissions, formation of executive bodies, delegation of powers, transfer of communal property, as well as budget and property management related decisions.
