Today, the Central Election Commission, by its Resolution, called the first elections in 202 amalgamated communities of all Oblasts (Regions) of Ukraine, without any exception, which elections are scheduled on Sunday, 29 October this year.

In particular, in Vinnytsia Oblast, such elections will be held in 9 amalgamated territorial communities, in Volynska Oblast, in 19 ATCs; in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, in 19 ATCs; in Donetsk Oblast, in 2 ATCs; in Zhytomyr Oblast, in 13 ATCs; in Zakarpatska Oblast, in 1 ATC; in Zaporizhia Oblast, in 10 ATCs, in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in 8 ATCs; in Kyiv Oblast, in 4 ATCs; in Kirovohrad Oblast, in 6 ATCs; in Luhansk Oblast, in 4 ATCs; in Lviv Oblast, in 8 ATCs; in Mykolayiv Oblast, in 1 ATC, in Odesa Oblast, in 11 ATCs; in Poltava Oblast, in 12 ATCs; in Rivne Oblast, in 5 ATCs; in Sumy Oblast, in 9 ATCs; in Ternopil Oblast, in 4 ATCs; in Kharkiv Oblast, in 7 ATCs; in Kherson Oblast, in 10 ATCs; in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, in 7 ATCs; in Cherkasy Oblast, in 15 ATCs; in Chernivtsi Oblast, in 4 ATCs; in Chernihiv Oblast, in 14 ATCs.

The Commission has declared that the election process in those communities commences on 9 September 2017.

They note in the Central Election Commission that the number of communities where the first elections have been already called is not final. Such elections may be called by the end of the current year on any Sunday in December, save for the last one. The Central Election Commission is looking forward to applications that may be filed by Oblast State Administrations regarding the calling of the first local elections in other communities that have already amalgamated or intending to amalgamate.
