Cooperation is one of the conditions for hromadas development in trans-border territories

Representatives of amalgamated hromadas (AHs) of Prykarpattya and Bukovyna continue to work towards the development of their territories. With the technical support of the South-West Hub of U-LEAD with Europe and the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi Local Government Development Centres, a delegation visited the forum that was held on 26 July 2017 in Kosice, Slovakia, in the framework of the European Neighborhood Instrument Cross-Border Cooperation Programme "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020".

The forum was attended by Ihor Dovirak, Head of Pechenizhynska AH; Petro Haydeychuk, Head of  Pyadytska AH; Mykola Shykor, Head of Vytvytska AH; Maria Shepanska, Deputy Head of Bilshivtsivska AH; Viktor Yakymchuk, Member of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Council; Yaroslav Myakyshuk, Head of Nyzhnyoverbizhska AH; Ruslan Panasyuk, Director of the Ivano-Frankivsk LGDC; Ihor Melnychuk, regional development advisor; Volodymyr Harazd, Head of the city of Dolyna; representatives of Prykarpattya NGOs.

In particular, a series of individual meetings were held with representatives of municipalities, public organizations, universities of Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. The issues of ecology, healthcare, construction and reconstruction of transport and communal infrastructure were discussed. Many issues were dedicated to forest protection and tourist potential development in hromadas on both sides of the border.

It was agreed on the implementation of further communications that should grow into real affairs and effective territorial development projects.

The partner search was organized by the Joint Technical Secretariat of the European Neighborhood Instrument Cross-Border Cooperation Programme "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020" with the support of TESIM (the project for technical support of the implementation and management of cross-border cooperation programmes).

For effective cooperation, the project proposals of the applicants of Prykarpattya and Bukovyna will be published on U-LEAD website, u-lead.org.ua.
