As of 22 August 2016, the Ministry of Regional Development has already received 1,073 applications for infrastructure projects filed by 156 amalgamated territorial communities, which projects will be implemented for account of a governmental subsidy. The aggregated amount of the projects to be implemented, with respect of which projects the applications have been filed, totals approximately UAH 874 million (~87.4 % of the subsidy amount).

The Expert Commission at the Ministry of Regional Development has approved 984 project applications in the aggregated amount of UAH 800 million.

The amalgamated communities in Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Zakarpatska, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolayiv, and Sumy Oblasts (Regions) were the best in the preparation of the applications, which communities distributed 100 % of the allocated subsidy funds among the infrastructure projects.

The highest remainder of the undisbursed subsidy is seen in the following Oblasts (Regions):

• Khmelnytskyi (UAH 62.7 million),
• Poltava (UAH 22.8 million),
• Ternopil (UAH 15.1 million),
• Odesa (UAH 8.9 million),
• Chernivtsi (UAH 8.0 million),
• Zhytomyr (UAH 7.5 million),
• Rivne (UAH 7.5 million),
• Chernihiv (UAH 6.8 million).

The Kyiv region has not yet filed any applications (the amount of the governmental subsidy totals UAH 6.1 million).

As it was reported, the amalgamated communities had more than 1,000 infrastructure projects intended for the implementation with the government support.

It is a reminder that the State Budget provides for a subsidy in the amount of UAH 1 billion to the amalgamated territorial communities for the development of infrastructure in 2016. The subsidy funds will be distributed among 159 amalgamated communities in accordance with the clear formula which takes into account the number of rural population and the area of the community. Starting from UAH 960 thousand for the smallest amalgamated community and up to UAH 23 million for the largest one.
