MinRehion is working on the “The State is Nearby. Frontline” programme, which aims to bring together support measures for frontline territories and the people who continue to live there. The target date for its launch is early 2027.

This information was reported by Vitalii Bezgin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine, in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

According to the Minister, different support mechanisms are already in place for frontline territories in the social sector, education, and healthcare. The Ministry’s task is to systematise these measures and work with the relevant departments to create a comprehensive package of solutions.

‘We want to systematise these measures, coordinate with each sectoral ministry and combine different instruments to create a comprehensive package of solutions to support frontline territories,’ said the Minister.

Vitalii Bezgin noted that the “The State is Nearby. Frontline” programme is set to become the single framework for comprehensive support. MinRehion is working on this programme jointly with European partners.

‘The “The State is Nearby. Frontline” programme is set to become the single umbrella for comprehensive support for frontline territories and the people who continue to live there. We are working on this programme together with our European partners. The target date is early 2027.’

The Minister also announced that a project is underway in six frontline regions to install mobile shelters along children’s routes to school. These are Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

According to Vitalii Bezgin, recovery and development programmes must be tailored to specific regions, with separate support packages for each functional type of territory.
