Ministry of Finance transfers UAH 20.2 billion to communities in April

In April 2026, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine transferred 100% of inter-budgetary transfers to the general fund of local budgets. The total amount was UAH 20.2 billion.

This includes, in particular:

  • UAH 2.6 billion in basic subsidies
  • UAH 1.7 billion in additional subsidies

This means that communities received all the resources allocated for April without delay, in line with the budget schedule.

Meanwhile, cash balances at the local level are also growing. As of 1 May 2026, local budget accounts and those of budgetary institutions held UAH 122.8 billion. This is UAH 27.6 billion more than at the start of the year.

What does this mean for communities?

The available financial resources enable local governments to:

  • provide stable funding for protected expenditure
  • meet the priority needs of communities
  • plan expenditure more predictably in wartime conditions

The timely transfer of funds and the growth in balances indicate the relative financial stability of local budgets, despite the difficult conditions.
