Services of MIA service centres – now even more accessible to citizens

The Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres are continuing to expand their network of cooperation with communities, aiming to ensure that every citizen can access public services conveniently and close to their place of residence.

As part of this cooperation, the most popular services provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres are being continuously introduced at the Administrative Service Centres (ASCs) – from vehicle registration to the exchange of driving licences.

This enables citizens to avoid unnecessary additional trips and receive the public services they need in familiar, comfortable locations.

Khmelnytskyi region

In Khmelnytskyi, the range of public services available to city residents at the Administrative Services Centre on 16 Soborna Street has been expanded.

The following services, which are usually provided by Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres, can now be obtained at the Administrative Services Centre:

  • exchange of driving licences (without taking exams);
  • renewal of a driving licence due to loss or theft;
  • registration of a new vehicle (without an expert inspection);
  • re-registration of a vehicle due to a change in the owner’s personal details (without an expert inspection).

‘Our main task is to make public services as convenient and accessible as possible. By cooperating with the Administrative Service Centres, we enable people to receive popular services in a convenient location, saving them time,’ said Ihor Melnyk, Head of the Regional Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, and Chernivtsi regions.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, nine Administrative Service Centres are already actively providing services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres – in Netishyn, Stara Syniava, Bilohiria, Derazhnia, Slavuta, Yarmolyntsi, Chemerivtsi, Krasyliv, and Khmelnytskyi.

In the first nine months of 2025 alone, fruitful cooperation in the region resulted in approximately 500 vehicle registrations and over 1,100 exchanges of driving licences.

Kharkiv region

In Pisochyn, Kharkiv district, an agreement was signed between the regional service centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkiv, Poltava, and Sumy regions and the Pisochyn settlement council on cooperation in the provision of administrative services.

‘This is another example of the state’s concern for its citizens. We work with people and for people, expanding the network of services and strengthening trust in public services,’ emphasised Dmytro Kreiner, Head of the Regional Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkiv, Poltava, and Sumy regions.

The following services will soon be available at the Administrative Services Centre of the Pisochyn Settlement Council (located at 2 Transportnyi Lane):

  • registration and re-registration of all categories of vehicles;
  • production of layouts for personalised number plates;
  • re-assignment of personalised number plates;
  • issuance of a vehicle registration certificate for driving abroad;
  • issuance of a temporary registration coupon;
  • renewal or exchange of driving licences (without taking exams).

This partnership eases the burden on local departments while providing community residents with high-quality, fast access to popular administrative services.

Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions

In order to improve access to public services in the Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions, 41 cooperation agreements have already been signed between communities and the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres : 18 in the Vinnytsia region, 14 in the Cherkasy region, and 9 in the Kirovohrad region.
