Andrii Smahliuk emphasised that this cooperation would strengthen the community’s capacity for post-war recovery.
The National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy played a key role in establishing this partnership by facilitating dialogue and organising the signing of the Memorandum.
International partnerships symbolise friendship and are a means of exchanging ideas, resources and experience, contributing to the development of both communities and strengthening the ties between Ukraine and the European Union.
According to the Monitoring of the Reform of Local Self-Government and Territorial Organisation of Power, conducted by the Ministry for Development, 2,108 international partnership agreements were in force as of 1 July 2025. A total of 487 communities participated in cooperative activities, building ties with communities in 64 countries worldwide.
