The cities of Izium and Greenwich, US, signed a Twinning Memorandum.

The document was signed by Valerii Marchenko, Head of the Izium City Military Administration, and Fred Camillo, Mayor of Greenwich.

This is reported by the official website of the Izium City Council.

The Memorandum provides for support and assistance in the recovery of Izium from the effects of the temporary occupation by the invading Russian troops, as well as cooperation in various areas of municipal life such as economy, culture, etc. The negotiations on the establishment of official cooperation are reported to have taken about half a year.

The procedure for ratifying the Twinning Agreement between Izium and Chennevières-sur-Marne, France, is also underway.
