The town of Bucha and the capital of the state of New York – the city of Albany – signed an agreement on cooperation. Albany became Bucha's first American partner city.

This was informed by Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.

“We signed the agreement on cooperation and partnership on Monday (ed.: February 6) with the mayor of the city Kathy Sheehan during an official visit to the USA. They agreed on the exchange of experience between the cities in the fields of education, healthcare and at the management level. Ms. Sheehan expressed her incredible support for Bucha residents and Ukraine, stressing that we are definitely not alone in this unprovoked war. She emphasized again that this is a war of civilizations. Therefore, the support of the United States government and the American people is crucial to the Great Victory,” wrote Anatolii Fedoruk in social media.
