More than a thousand cultural establishments -almost 15 % of all cultural establishments all over Ukraine -haven’t been signed off to territorial hromadas yet. It was highlighted during a conference call, involving the Minister of Culture and Informational Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko and heads of oblast state administrations and oblast culture divisions, held for the purpose of clarifying the role of oblast state administrations in keeping within the law while solving issues of cultural establishment liquidation or reorganisation.
« The Ministry of Culture and Informational Policy opposes unreasonable liquidation of cultural establishments. Moreover, liquidation is not obligatory whereas reorganization is possible. When the latter one is carried out on reasonable grounds with the social standards being met, it involves harmonization and making a new sense of such establishments, facilitating the cultural constituent enhancement in the regions. A cultural establishment is a quality content and demand for it, rather than walls», - revealed the Ministry stance Oleksandr Tkachenko during the conference call.
