The Governmental Portal published the text of the Government Decree approving the State Programme for the Development of the Ukrainian Carpathians for 2020-2022, adopted on 20 October 2019.
The Programme identifies key areas to stimulate economic activities in the region, including through the infrastructure development and provision of public services due to the European standards, enhancement of the security level and reduction of the negative impact on the surrounding natural environment.
The Programme is the main programmatic document for the mid-term development of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Priorities of the mountainous areas’ development in the long term period should be defined in the Regional Strategy Development for 2021-2027 years, the State Strategy of Regional Development for the period to 2027, and plans activities with their implementation, as well as within individual programmes of regional development.
