Government approved State Programme for Development of Ukrainian Carpathians by 2022

On 20 October 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the State Programme for the Development of the Ukrainian Carpathian Region for 2020-2022.

The programme is aimed at improving the social and economic development of the Ukrainian Carpathians, increasing the accessibility of individual mountainous areas and includes a wide range of issues: road construction, job creation, tourism development in the Carpathian region, in particular in the mountainous regions of the Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Chernivtsi Oblasts.
