On 25 June, Ivan Duran, acting head of the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration, signed an order to submit the draft Perspective Plan for the formation of hromadas’ territories in the Zakarpattia Oblast for approval at the regular session of the Zakarpattia Oblast Council. The Perspective Plan envisages 50 AHs – 7 existing and 43 potential ones.

This is a tremendous progress for the Zakarpattia Oblast. It should be mentioned that last time the Oblast Council considered the plan on 27 August 2015, that is almost 4 years ago. After that, the draft plan was not submitted.

"At last, we achieved what we have been waiting for since 2015," says Ivan Demyanchuk, Director of the Zakarpattia LGDC. “The proposed draft Perspective Plan takes into account both the recommendations of MinRegion, our and other local specialists who consider the Zakarpattia Oblast’s specifics.
