The accession of village and settlement hromadas to cities of oblast significance continues. In total, 30 such cities have already amalgamated with 73 neighbouring communities, as informed by the Association of Ukrainian Cities

These cities include: Lozova, Berezan, Bucha, Kolomyia, Rzhyshzhiv, Ternopil, Horishni Plavni, Berdiansk, Balta, Berezhany, Varash, Vinnytsia, Voznesensk, Hadiach, Zhytomyr, Izyum, Kaniv, Marhanets, Nizhyn, Netishyn, Nova Kakhovka, Novohrad-Volynskyi, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Novodnistrovsk, Pokrov, Slavuta, Sumy, Shostka, Khmilnyk, Mukachevo.

By the end of June, the city of Bakhmut and Obukhiv can also amalgamate with the neighbouring communities. Village councils will soon take final decisions on accession.
