10th Safety Centre opened in Donetsk Oblast

On 25 April, the new Safety Centre began its work in the city of Svyatohorsk, Donetsk Oblast. Since the opening of the first such Centre in Lyman City in 2016, it is already the tenth successful project.

“I am glad to greet the residents of the Svyatohorska hromada with the opening of this new Safety Centre that will host both the rescuers and law-enforcement officers. This is a vivid example of the great motive power of hromada’s initiative in protecting the most remote settlements. We have become one step closer to creating an effective system of assistance delivery to the population, reducing the time of arrival of emergency services and introducing a new level of safety culture of our society as a whole,” said Mykola Chechotkin, head of the State Emergency Service.
