The time for the voluntary amalgamation of hromadas in Ukraine is running out. However, many regions are still lagging behind. In some cases, alleged lack of consensus between hromadas with the different ethnic structure of the population is put forward as an excuse for the low pace of the amalgamation process. However, it is often the awareness of the ethnic diversity of territories as their social and economic competitive advantage that can serve as the key to understand each other.
