A pilot project “Police Officer of the Hromada” was started in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The first 40 law enforcers are being trained to be in charge of security and safety of the residents of oblast’s AHs. Practical course will last for 2.5 months as reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre.
“There are more than six dozen amalgamated hromadas in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast that require a special safety system. District police officers will ensure safety to AH residents. Law enforcers of the new format are recruited on a competitive basis. Those shortlisted as a result of the competition begin to study. The lion's share of the training course is devoted to practice and modeling of situations,” said Olena Tertyshna, Director of the Dnipropetrovsk LGDC.
