Within the context of promoting gender equality, the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO) launched an online course “Gender Policy for Local Self-Government Development” in the Community of Practices.

The course provides opportunities for representatives of local self-government to get acquainted with the foundations of gender equality and its international and national legal regulation, as well as to learn how to apply gender equality principles in practice, in particular when writing projects.

Ella Lamakh, facilitator of the course, is a DESPRO gender expert consultant, trainer and activist, head of the NGO “Democracy Development Centre”.

To attend the course, registration with the Community of Practices is required. The online course format provides free processing of material, as well as communication with a course expert in the Community of Practices forum. After successful completion of the course each student receives a certificate.
