The Chernivtsi Oblast is seventh among the Ukrainian regions in terms of the decentralisation process in 2018. Here 5 new AHs have been formed in course of one year. Experts consider its greatest achievement to be maintenance of the decentralisation reform pace and approval of the perspective plan covering 90% of oblast settlements. Although they agree that not everything planned has been done this year. Therefore, a lot of problems and challenges remain in the next year.
Ukrinform talked with Tetyana Tatarchuk, Director of the Chernivtsi Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, on successes and miscalculations of the decentralisation reform in the Chernivtsi Oblast.
