Nizhyn city and Kunashivka village councils made final decisions on accession

On 19 November, the Nizhyn city council and the Kunashivka village council made a decision on voluntary accession. This is the second accession to the city of oblast significance in the Chernihiv Oblast. Previously, the procedure was completed by Novhorod-Siverskyi.

The hromadas have passed all stages provided by the Law of Ukraine “On Voluntary Amalgamation of Hromadas”.

According to the data presented by MinRegion, 17 more cities of oblast significance and hromadas adjacent to them have completed the procedures of accession. It is worth mentioning that 10 village, settlement councils accessed to the city of Lozova; per 5 village councils accessed to the cities of Rzhyshchyv and Berezan; per 4 village councils joined Kolomyia and Ternopil; 3 village councils joined the city of Bucha; the cities of Varash, Vinnytsia, Voznesensk, Gadyach, Zhytomyr, Nova Kakhovka, Novhorod-Siversky, Novodnistrovsk, Slavuta, Shostka, Novohrad-Volynskyi were joined by 1 village, settlement council, each.
