The President signed the law on local elections

Today, on August 6, 2015, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on local elections. The statement has been made on a briefing by the deputy head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine, Vitaly Kovalchuk.

As it was mentioned before, on July 14 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the Law #2831-3 “On Local Elections”.

The legal act provides the basic principles, order of organization and holding of elections of deputies of oblast, raion, city, district (in cities), village, settlement councils, as well as village, settlement, and city council heads and elders
