Sumy became the fourth oblast centre in Ukraine to adjoin neighbouring settlements.
This was reported to Ukrinform by the press service of the Sumy City Council.
“At the sessions of the Sumy City Council and the Pishchanka Village Council, final decisions were taken on voluntary accession of the Pischanka rural territorial hromada to the territorial hromada of the oblast centre – the city of oblasr significance of Sumy. This marks the completion of the accession procedure in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Voluntary Amalgamation of Hromadas” and formation of the Sumy urban amalgamated hromada,” the press service said.
