In the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, amalgamated hromadas implemented UAH 123 million of the infrastructure subvention over three years of decentralisation. The funds were spent on improving people’s lives.
This was mentioned by Ruslan Panasiuk, director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Local Government Development Centre established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, during the final press conference “Before and after the Reform” held in Ivano-Frankivsk.
“The main criterion for amalgamating hromadas during the 4 years in the Carpathian region was not the quantity, but the quality of the amalgamation, the real work to improve people’s living conditions in AHs. In the past three years, UAH 123 million of the infrastructure subvention has been invested in the Carpathian region to improve education, medicine, road infrastructure, street lighting, water pipelines, etc. From year to year we have used these funds efficiently and for one hundred percent,” stressed Panasiuk.
